White Stuff: Making and Designing

WHITE STUFF: MAKING AND DESIGNING

In preparation for an interview as a Visual Artist with lifestyle clothing store White Stuff, I was asked to complete three different tasks:

Make a Brussels Sprout

Cellophane: Melting cellophane with a hairdryer and painting
Clay: Starting off with a clay ball and then layering over it with leaf shapes made of clay. Heating with hairdryer to harden and using templates to indent the clay to create real life texture.

Leaf: Gluing leaves around a paper mache ball.
Wax: Melting green and white wax and then pouring into warm water before submerging and rolling into a ball.

Paper mache around a cotton ball and then painted.
